Health resort Duszniki-Zdroj is located in south-western part of Kłodzka Valley near the road which leads from Wroclaw to the Czech frontier crossing in Kudowa. Sanatorium part of Duszniki is surrounded by green area which creates pleasant isolation from the rest of the city. The biggest natural treasure of Duszniki is a number of mineral springs. Currently five springs are exploited and used for mineral bath and water therapy. Duszniki Zdrój has a full range of medicinal services: specialist medical tests, medicinal procedures, water therapies and dietetic treatment.
Duszniki-Zdroj is also famous for The International Chopin Festival. A Chopin’s manor is a place where worldwide class artists and Chopin’s music fans meet each other from 60’. International Chopin Piano Festivals take place to commemorate Frederic Chopin’s stay and concerts in Duszniki Zdrój in 1826. The manor is situated in the Park, where beside the Festival numerous performances and concerts take place. Opposite the southern entrance of the manor we can see a monument put in 1976 to commemorate 150th anniversary of composer’s stay in Duszniki Zdrój.
Museum of Paper Making in Duszniki-Zdroj is also a vital tourist attraction. It is placed in a paper mill, built in XVII century which is also an unique monument. The Museum presents fine exhibitions dedicated to papermaking history. Accompanying events attract many tourists and health resort visitors.
